“I have had a number of inspections done but none as complete as this one. I would highly recommend Pam for any inspections; she is the best I have ever seen.”
“Good morning Pam, Thanks so much for your help on Saturday. Your report was great and the video portions are much appreciated, especially for us being first time cottage buyers. The videos contain additional information that are easy to access and listen to in your report. I know we will be referring back to them more than once. Much appreciated.”
“Pam did a home inspection on a cottage I was considering buying in late June, 2014. I found her approach, and her knowledge of all the important facets of the property to be exemplary. The property has a holding tank, rather than a septic system and she even popped the cap off the tank and took a look, measuring the depth with a piece of wood, and giving me a basic understanding of how these things worked, since this was my first experience with a holding tank system. She warned me about the water supply lines, as she told me, after looking at the codes on the pipes, that there had been a recall on these lines due to a splitting issue. Sure enough, several weeks after we closed on the cottage, one of the lines split and I ended up replacing all the lines. If not for her warning, I would not have been keeping an eye out for problems.
She was very professional, and had an eye for detail, yet her approach was more that of a friend helping me make a decision. She looked at electrical systems, structural systems, and found things that were deficient. She explained what needed to be done right away and what could perhaps wait.
All in all, I was more than pleased with not only Pam’s people skills but her knowledge and suggestions. In the end, she told me that the only thing seriously wrong with the property was that there was nobody living in it.
We bought it and have never looked back. We are in fact selling our house this spring and moving to the cottage permanently.
Her pricing was reasonable and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have a home inspection done.”
“Pam Sayne did an inspection on the house I was to purchase in the spring of 2014. I found her personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. The report I received was comprehensive, with photographs and several good suggestions. Worth the money spent! I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend her services.”

“At a time both exciting and stressful, Pam’s calm demeanor and seasoned analysis gave us the confidence to make an offer with a thorough understanding of what we were getting ourselves into. Thanks to her many years of experience, Pam is blessed with an eagle eye and her uber-detailed report can only be described as the cherry on top.”
“The service identified heat leaks that I never new existed. I was given great advice with lots of options for home improvements. There is an immediate difference. My house is less drafty and more comfortable.”

“Purchasing a house is a very emotional and at times intimidating experience, particularly when such a dramatic decision is made after having spent a total of about 30 minutes in a house. Not only did Pam’s inspection allow us to get a real feel for the house but provided us with the confidence of really ‘knowing’ the house which was to become our home. The inspection report took us through every aspect of the house, allowing us to feel as like we were making this major life decision with our eyes wide open. Not only did the report point out every area of concern, but recommended specific maintenance and measures to avoid future repairs. Unlike any of the numerous home inspections I have gone through, the photographs and appliance numbers provided us with an invaluable reference resource for seasonal upkeep and convenience. Within the first four months of owning the house, I cannot count the number of times we made reference to the report for either serial numbers or a checklist for minor maintenance and repairs. This has already saved from incurring larger more serious expenses. In five years, my partner and I could easily see ourselves calling Pam again to do another inspection simply to keep our maintenance list current. On behalf of myself and Marie, we thank you for making our first home purchase a wonderful experience.”

“I just wanted to take a moment out of my work day to write to thank you for the wonderful service you provided for Tom and I on Saturday. You were so very helpful, and we both feel that we learned a great deal. Your thorough, yet easy going approach resulted in our feeling very comfortable with you, and comfortable in being able to ask questions. Your written report is clear in every respect. We are very grateful that we were able to have you complete the inspection at 60 River Road. After much discussion, and endless weighing of pros and cons, we have decided to go forward with the purchase of the property. Armed with your report, we know that we have a 10 year ‘to do’ list, so it is a very good thing that we like projects. We do love the lot itself, and hope that with some tender loving care, we can transform the cottage into something that will be more comfortable for us and the folks who will share some time there with us. I expect that we will be in touch again as we would like it if you could guide us with suggestions about heating, insulation etc., if you are available. Also, it would be wonderful to have the opportunity to offer you a beer, and express our thanks in person. Until then….. take care and thanks.”
“Thanks very much for this Pam it is great…In my different experiences of purchasing I have never had the pleasure of dealing with such an excellent inspector. This report is terrific. I found you very professional, knowledgeable and really personable with great communication/people skills. Thank you very much! It was a pleasure to meet you and I may call you re the water filtration and a system you would recommend. Be well.”
“Hi Pam, I just wanted to let you know that I have received both cheques from the government and they will help with up and coming repairs! I learned so much from talking with you and loved learning all about my home. Thanks for your patience and taking the time to explain every little detail to me, I really appreciate it. Although lengthy, you made this process a breeze, thanks for looking after all the paperwork. Thanks again for all your help!”

“In my profession as a Realtor, I’ve met, worked alongside, &/or communicated with a long list of home inspectors, an old adage comes to mind, ‘when you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. Absolutely, unequivocally, not the case with the services provided by Pam Sayne, Know Your Home Inspections Inc. She effortlessly guides the future home owner through every aspect of the property, and provides easy solutions to any areas of concern (regular maintenance or repair). To reaffirm her report there are colour photos attached to each section depicting, for example: appliances & respective serial numbers, retaining wall in need of maintenance. We all know a picture speaks a thousand words, and Pam does this like no other!”

“How pleased we were with her personal touch, involvement and wide knowledge base. Liked her honesty and the fact that she went the extra mile to make recommendations on most urgent repairs effecting daily living, and what could be done in the future. Quick response time and access through internet. Availability doesn’t end with the closing of your cottage purchase.”

“Pam Sayne’s extensive and clear report was more than a thorough and detailed review of our prospective home, a seventy year-old building, basically sound, but with issues that needed addressing. From her we learned so much about construction, environmental issues and government standards. Her photographs illustrated the text and showed us where we needed to take action. The report has helped us decide what we’d do immediately to upgrade this old home, and to make future plans for improvements. And as is if that wasn’t enough, Pam made herself available by telephone afterwards and provided helpful advice and leads on proceeding. We were newcomers, moving into a new area without any connections: Hers was a service that made us feel this was a welcoming community. We’d recommend Pam’s services to our best friends and to you.”
