Licensing of Home Inspectors in Ontario

Know Your Home Inspections Inc. is pleased the Licensing of Home Inspectors was supported by The Ontario Provincial Government and will soon be a requirement.

As a member of the national Task Force developing the CSA A770 Standards of Practice for home inspections – also recently completed – the qualifications, expectations and accountability of home inspection services in Ontario will improved.  Gone will be the days when anyone could hang up a shingle and call themselves a home inspector. This will protect the profession, the client and the Realtor.

Winter Health and Indoor Air Quality

The winter’s  shorter days and colder temperatures can lead to more time indoors for children and adults. This makes it even more important to give more attention to indoor air quality this time of year. Health symptoms of family members may be affected by the humidity levels in your home. The chart below, from Natural Resources Canada, is a good guide for general humidity levels. For more information call Know Your Home Inspections Inc.
